- gh-pages first fetched to output dir - then docs written directly to output dir (preserving branch directory structure)

Output directory is now
$PWD/publishrather than the current working directory. Having a distinct publishing directory (i.e. what will be pushed togh-pages), integrates better with existing tools on Github Actions, compared to building the docs in the current working directory.It is possible to override the default value of
