This update will create the final files necessary to display the community table in the new Codex layout.

You can see what it looks like here :
https://jam.dev/c/132ea2de-723c-4ce4-9e31-d2cdbfcc5a42

Changes to the code :

  • Created the html and md files for the microgalaxy community for tools, tuto and workflows (These files are used as template for other communities)
  • Updated the code (get_community bash scripts) to automatically create these files for other communities who have a Codex folder
  • Updated the navigator to include the Community specific table in the navigator bar

When a community is ready to display their community specific tables, they will have to manually update the topnav file (I will include this step in the codex tutorial).

Issue :
I think the current theme only support ONE level of dropdowns, not nested dropdowns. It may need to be adressed once many communities join the codex.

I love it, code wise, I do not really have the time atm, I trust you on this one !
One question:
Why When a community is ready to display their community specific tables, they will have to manually update the topnav file (I will include this step in the codex tutorial).
Can this not be there by default ?

Thanks for the confidence :)

The reason was to not display a community resources before they are done with manual curation and ready to share, but we could change and have it displayed by default.

What do you both think?

Discussed during the CoFest 26, here is the decided method :

  • When the first review id done, it automatically update the topnav file and create the tab for the community
  • If a community don't want to display it, explain in the GTN how to comment it out
