1Context v0.1.86 Public Preview

This release includes:

  • 0.1.86 makes the official release proof deterministic after setup
restoration. The protected runner now re-pins the previous public build after
Local Wiki Access is ready, so an aggressive mandatory auto-update cannot
preempt the measured Sparkle update step.
  • 0.1.85 finished the release-factory uninstall/reinstall proof repair. The
protected runner watches 1context-cli uninstall for macOS certificate trust
authorization prompts and approves them while the CLI subprocess is blocked.
  • The password helper no longer uses the broad focused-password fallback unless
it is explicitly enabled, so proof loops capture the prompt and retry through
scoped Accessibility actions instead of typing into an arbitrary focused
    field.
  • The proof contract now explicitly preserves the product boundary: an already
setup user should not need sudo or a fresh Local Wiki Access grant during an
    app update.
  • The protected runner can use an explicit admin-authorization secret only for
setup and reinstall proof prompts, so the release lane can automate the same
first-setup macOS prompt a tester sees without making updates depend on sudo.
  • Signed app setup ignores stale runner SUDO_USER environment variables
when the app is actually running as the logged-in macOS user, so Local Wiki
Access can finish from the real setup window.
  • The official proof runner treats setup restoration as a closed-loop GUI
workflow, captures each Grant / Check Again action, and keeps checking
diagnose until Local Wiki Access and runtime health are actually restored.
  • Distributable .app and DMG builds reject Homebrew, host Caddy, local library
links, and executable script interpreters that depend on developer-machine
    package managers or language runtimes.
  • Private and official appcasts are validated against release/release.toml
    instead of using compatibility skips.
  • Mandatory Sparkle updates remain quiet and automatic; manual Check for Updates remains a normal user action.

Install:

Download 1Context.dmg, open it, and launch 1Context.app. The app moves
itself to Applications, opens setup, and uses Sparkle for app-owned updates.

Known preview limits:

  • macOS 13 Ventura or newer required
  • Apple Silicon only
  • memory collection and page creation are currently manual
  • cloud wiki sharing is not enabled yet; the local wiki is private

1Context v0.1.84 Public Preview

This release includes:

  • 0.1.84 finishes the release-factory setup authorization repair. The
protected runner now targets the visible macOS Certificate Trust Settings
sheet, focuses the secure password field, sets the field value directly
through Accessibility, and clicks Update Settings.
  • A focused password-entry harness proves the exact setup prompt in isolation
before the slower release proof runs.
  • The proof contract now explicitly preserves the product boundary: an already
setup user should not need sudo or a fresh Local Wiki Access grant during an
    app update.
  • The protected runner can use an explicit admin-authorization secret only for

1Context v0.1.83 Public Preview

This release includes:

  • 0.1.83 repairs the release-factory GUI proof for setup-only macOS
authorization prompts that are frontmost but not exposed through the normal
accessibility process tree. The protected runner can enter the setup password
after the setup Grant action, then continue to prove the actual Sparkle
    update path.
  • The proof contract now explicitly preserves the product boundary: an already
setup user should not need sudo or a fresh Local Wiki Access grant during an
    app update.
  • The protected runner can use an explicit admin-authorization secret only for

This release includes:

  • 0.1.82 repairs the release-factory GUI proof for setup-only macOS

when certificate trust settings require it, then continue to prove the actual

1Context v0.1.81 Public Preview

This release includes:

  • 0.1.81 tightens the release factory after the public 0.1.80 proof showed
that the harness could accidentally launch the old app and consume the
mandatory update before the update proof started. Baseline setup is now
checked by the CLI first, so updates are proved as updates.

1Context v0.1.80 Public Preview

This release includes:

  • 0.1.80 tightens the release factory after the public 0.1.78 proof showed
that Sparkle could update the app while the dirty runner still needed Local
Wiki setup. The proof now restores baseline setup before the update, then
requires the update to preserve setup without another grant.

1Context v0.1.78 Public Preview

This release includes:

  • 0.1.78 keeps the release factory moving after the public 0.1.77 train:
the protected runner proof now records pre-run setup readiness as evidence
instead of treating it as a manual prerequisite, so the proof can repair a
dirty runner through the same setup restoration lane it is meant to validate.
  • Signed app setup ignores stale runner SUDO_USER environment variables
when the app is actually running as the logged-in macOS user, so Local Wiki
Access can finish from the real setup window.
  • The official proof runner treats setup restoration as a closed-loop GUI
