Angel Moreno (PM):
- Was responsible for converting PDFs to one clean CSV file for the group to analyze.
- Analyzed crime types and found the top 10 most common crimes so that our group knows what crime to focus on for the rest of the analysis.
- Created a visual of crime rates in a 24 hour time span so that it is clear when crime occurrs the most in the Urbana campus.
- Found arrest rate in Urbana from 2018 to 2023 using disposition column data.
Hazel Lu:
- Finding multiple potential datasets from Campustown, Champaign and Urbana.
- Requesting and retrieving Campustown Crime dataset from UIPD and Champaign police department.
- Created heatmap visualizations of crime on top of a map overlay.
- Analysed annual crime frequency using time series data.
Peter Derrah:
- Graphed leading crime locations using open-source software
Rebeca Rodriguez:
- Analyzed the data and created a dataframe with the top 50 locations with the most crimes
- Created a database with locations on Green St.
- Created visualization about the locations on Green St. and their crime count
