The game is started with 0 score. Every time the player successfully hits an arrow, the score is updated. No points are took for missed arrows. For how much points are added to the score, see the screenshot above from the Score Tutorial or read this:
When you change the speed of the song using the spacebar, a magical number is added to the score depending on the speed of the song. If you slow down the song, the added score will be less than the score you would have received if you were playing in normal mode. However, if by pressing the spacebar you generate a pitch that is faster than the original pitch , more than 100 points are added to the score. In normal mode every time you hit an arrow, 100 points are added.
Of course, another side of how much score you can get is how many arrows you can press in this level. Every song is different and every level of difficulty has different count of arrows. That's why we don't have a scoreboard because the max score on for example Gangnam style will be different than the max achievable score in Rabiosa.
