I love reading books 📖 I just don’t love being stuck in the endless loop of “bestsellers” and “award winners.”
So instead of inventing a brand-new recommendation theory, I decided to do something more practical (and more fun): take well-known, published recommendation frameworks and see how they actually work for books. 🧠➡️📚
BookChef is a playground where I implement existing recommendation methods — from classic approaches to modern ML and LLM-based systems — and adapt them to the book domain.
Each experiment is like trying a new recipe: same ingredients, different technique, surprising results 👩🍳✨
The project starts simple, with baseline implementations, and gradually grows as I test more frameworks, combine ideas, and explore what really helps people discover their next read 🔍📈
