In fact, I wasn’t even aware of his existence when I chose it for a part of my username/nickname.
His "Kobe" is a given name; in my case, it's a surname - specifically, the Japanese surname "神戸", which is transliterated as Kobe/Koube in English.
I ABSOLUTELY HATE being called “Kobe Bryant” or any variation of his name ON PURPOSE, if you didn't do that on purpose, i might just ignore it. but DON'T.
