The code under it would never run, and the logic was also flawd.
The user can now use the enviorment vairabel SYS_BATTERY_PATH to change the path. The ablility to hardcode it i still perserved.
This path symlinks to the 'real' path, and is available in Debian 12, atleast.
For some magical reason, the build system decided to link with GDK2 ang GTK+3 at the same time...

This MR fixes many problems with the code.
Also switch to GTK+3.
