• we started this PR: Draft: Fix(SlimSystem): include std assertions and typedthreads nim-lang/threading#31
  • pull the latest #devel and see if its still necessary, theres been a number of commits since we looked at it
  • we need to finish that PR, pretty sure ringabout gave us some hints
    • opensource/channels.nim still fails
• we were recursively stuck in our attempts at hardening nim via config switches, perhaps its time to move on and accept what we can get
  • drop through the files one by one, starting at whatever the commit says
