Harness Evolver is a LangSmith-native autonomous optimizer for LLM agent codebases. It iteratively improves prompts, routing, tools, and orchestration architecture through a multi-agent propose-evaluate-merge loop with full git worktree isolation. Tested on a RAG agent: 0.575 → 1.000 correctness (+74%) in 7 iterations.
The GAP files (
agent.yaml+SOUL.md) are proposed to the repo via a companion PR: raphaelchristi/harness-evolver#28 — the registry CI will validate once those files land on main.If GAP looks useful, the project lives at ⭐ https://github.com/open-gitagent/opengap — a star helps more maintainers find the standard.
