Hey, thanks for this. I’m going to close the PR since it doesn’t fit the package structure we need for CRAN. The figures code is going into /R/, but that should only contain functions. Scripts for paper figures should live outside the package. It also adds a bunch of unnecessary dependencies, which we should avoid for CRAN. |

See figure2_b.R and figure3_b.R scripts for the code to generate figure2_.png and figure3_b.png, respectively. I added a few annotations to the plots outside of R (e.g., labels of swirls, sihouettes, etc.) – the finalized figures are Fig2.png and Fig3.png. I experiemented with Codex to assist with the function construction of these plots.
