Attendees will learn about quantum chemistry on quantum computers, by learning about the basics, some active research directions, and how noise plays a role in these calculations. Attendees will also learn how to use qBraid’s platform to accelerate quantum research and development by accessing many tools and hardware providers in one location.

Tutorial Agenda

Session 1 (1-2:30pm)

  • 1:00 - 1:15: Getting everyone setup and logged in
  • 1:15 - 1:30: Live walkthrough of qBraid Lab
  • 1:30 - 1:50: Introduction to quantum chemistry
  • 1:50 - 2:30: Running quantum chemistry calculations (Introduction_to_QC_and_mappings.ipynb)

Session 2 (3-4:30pm)

  • 3:00 - 3:10: Recap
  • 3:10 - 3:25: Introduction to VQE
  • 3:25 - 3:45: Hands-on Intro to VQA
  • 3:45 - 4:05: Hands-on Intermediate VQA
  • 4:05 - 4:30: Active research directions & noise

*Use any extra time to explore qBraid Lab at your own pace and ask questions!

About
