π Jules, reporting for duty! I'm here to lend a hand with this pull request. When you start a review, I'll add a π emoji to each comment to let you know I've read it. I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! For more direct control, you can switch me to Reactive Mode. When this mode is on, I will only act on comments where you specifically mention me with New to Jules? Learn more at jules.google/docs. π¨ Severity: CRITICAL
π‘ Vulnerability: User-controlled and dynamic inputs were interpolated directly into shell commands via
execSync, creating command injection risks. Additionally, shell pipe operators (like| wc -lor stderr suppressions2>/dev/null) within these interpolations introduced instability and platform dependency.π― Impact: If user-provided inputs (like project paths or dynamically gathered executable locations) contain shell metacharacters (e.g.,
;,&&,||), it allows arbitrary command execution in the context of the user running the CLI tool.π§ Fix: Replaced vulnerable
execSynccalls withexecFileSync, ensuring commands are executed without a shell. Arguments are now strictly passed as arrays, preventing shell interpolation. Redirections (e.g.,2>/dev/null) have been natively ported tostdio: ['pipe', 'pipe', 'ignore'], and shell processing (e.g.,| wc -l) has been implemented natively in JavaScript logic.β Verification: Run
node --test tests/*.test.mjsto ensure CLI tests continue passing. Check the output of functions likescoreto verify churn calculations are still functional.PR created automatically by Jules for task 17976838465672776058 started by @raccioly
