Port labor payroll that actually understands what a gang is and why that matters
StevedorePay handles the complete insanity of longshore union payroll — ILA and ILWU gang assignments, seniority-based dispatch rules, hazard pay differentials, overtime stacking, and full contract compliance — without requiring a labor attorney on retainer just to run Friday payroll. It connects directly to terminal operating systems and auto-generates dispatch orders that won't get you grievanced at 5am on a ship arrival. The waterfront has needed this software for 40 years and somehow nobody built it until now.
- Full ILA and ILWU gang assignment engine with seniority-based dispatch queue management
- Resolves over 340 distinct pay code combinations across container, bulk, ro-ro, and breakbulk operations without manual override
- Direct integration with terminal operating systems for real-time vessel schedule ingestion
- Overtime stacking logic that correctly handles consecutive-shift premiums, holiday multipliers, and guaranteed minimums. In the right order.
- Grievance-risk flagging on dispatch orders before they go out the door

StevedorePay runs as a set of loosely coupled microservices behind a single API gateway, with each domain — dispatch, payroll calculation, contract rules, and TOS integration — isolated into its own service boundary so one bad contract amendment doesn't take down Friday payroll. The dispatch rules engine is backed by MongoDB, which handles the deeply nested, wildly inconsistent structure of decade-old CBA addenda better than anything relational ever could. Hot dispatch state and gang availability windows are stored in Redis as the permanent source of truth for active shifts. The whole thing runs on bare metal because I don't trust a container scheduler to understand what it means when a vessel is two hours out and you're short a hatch boss.
