- Implemented a module-level single-flight cache in `BlogApp.tsx` (mirroring `useProjects.ts`) to prevent redundant `/api/blog.json` fetches when the app mounts repeatedly or multiple instances are opened. - Added `AbortSignal.timeout(10000)` to all `fetch` calls across `BlogApp.tsx`, `useProjects.ts`, and `github.ts` to prevent indefinite hangs and potential DoS risks from stalled connections. Superseded by #127 (merged to main), which consolidated the best of the duplicate Bolt/Sentinel/Palette scheduled-agent PRs into one reviewed change. Closing as duplicate. |
Understood. Acknowledging that this work is now obsolete and stopping work on this task. |
💡 What: Added module-level caching to the Blog app component and introduced 10-second
AbortSignaltimeouts to all un-timeout'dfetchoperations throughout the app.🎯 Why:
BlogApp.tsxwas firing a new fetch request for/api/blog.jsonon every mount. In React Strict Mode or when a user toggles the window frequently, this generates redundant API traffic.fetchrequests can hang indefinitely if the backend network is stalled, causing frozen UI states or memory leaks over time.📊 Impact:
/api/blog.jsonfetches to exactly 1 request per session, saving processing and network time for repeated opens.🔬 Measurement:
pnpm testandCI=true pnpm test:e2e. The UI loads instantly on subsequent app opens due to the cache, and offline/slow-network behavior is handled predictably.PR created automatically by Jules for task 12672666159420912181 started by @schmug
