π¨ Palette: Add accessible clear buttons to search inputs#116
Conversation
Adds a semantic `X` clear button (imported from `lucide-react`) to the search and filter inputs in `Launcher.tsx`, `ProjectsApp.tsx`, and `BlogApp.tsx`. The button includes an `aria-label` for screen readers, `focus-visible` classes for keyboard navigation in dark mode, and correctly manages focus by returning it to the input field after clearing the query. π Jules, reporting for duty! I'm here to lend a hand with this pull request. When you start a review, I'll add a π emoji to each comment to let you know I've read it. I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! For more direct control, you can switch me to Reactive Mode. When this mode is on, I will only act on comments where you specifically mention me with New to Jules? Learn more at jules.google/docs. Superseded by #127 (merged to main), which consolidated the best of the duplicate Bolt/Sentinel/Palette scheduled-agent PRs into one reviewed change. Closing as duplicate. |
Understood. Acknowledging that this work is now obsolete and stopping work on this task. |
π‘ What: Added an accessible clear button (
Xicon) to the search inputs in Launcher, Projects, and Blog apps.π― Why: Improves UX and accessibility for keyboard and screen reader users by providing an explicit action to reset a search query, rather than forcing tedious backspacing. Crucially, the implementation re-focuses the input element immediately upon clearing, preserving the user's navigational flow.
βΏ Accessibility: The button uses
aria-label="Clear filter"(or similar), explicittype="button", and explicitfocus-visibletailwind styling matching the repository's dark mode conventions. Focus is restored to the input via a ReactuseRef.PR created automatically by Jules for task 14954930052091926209 started by @schmug
