Hummingbird was a 'hovering' video player build on top of VLC media player that could play videos from file or video sharing platforms like YouTube.
It was one of my early projects when I had only one screen to work from and wanted to watch music videos while working. You could play the video 'in picture' and hovering the mouse cursor on the video would automatically move it to a different corner of the screen.
This problem has long been solved by multiple screens and picture-in-picture features from YouTube, etc. (that came way too late if you ask me).
(I am adding this README text many years later because I never thought to before. I was only solving the problem for myself at the time, and now I want to maintain a better record of my archived projects for anyone who is curious.)
