Using solara, we can create the frontend with a react-like framework.
bqplot/bqplot_image_gl are not updated to work properly with ipywidgets 8/solara, unfortunately. This makes building a performant GL image viewer difficult. For now, I put in a workaround with two image viewers, showing a "preview" of an image viewer in bqplot_image_gl, and using plotly for selecting things in the dataset.
Leaving here as a WIP.
