Reduce Callback-Hell, but also Report potential errors with enhanced context.
Edit: WTF?!? Why is this drain-to-nothing handler commented-out without
any explanation? Could this probably explain some "Connection was closed"
impossible-to-reproduce-prod-only-issues?
