This pull request significantly expands and clarifies the documentation for the draw.io MCP diagramming skill, with a focus on supporting sequence/flow diagrams (auth flows, API interactions, CI/CD pipelines), improving visual conventions (especially for traffic flow and animation), and reorganizing checklists and export guidance. The most important changes are:

Expanded Diagram Types and Patterns

  • Added support for sequence and flow diagrams (auth flows, API/microservice call chains, CI/CD pipelines) with dedicated layout guidance, color conventions, and checklists. These diagrams now bypass icon lookup and use new patterns for swimlane and pipeline layouts. [1] [2] [3]

Traffic Flow Visualization and Animation

  • Standardized traffic arrow color palettes for Azure and AWS diagrams, clarified usage for different protocols and flows, and reserved red exclusively for denied/blocked traffic. Introduced explicit guidance for animating flow arrows (flowAnimation=1;), including when and how to ask the user, and updated all related checklists. [1] [2] [3]

Checklist and Annotation Improvements

  • Streamlined and clarified the required annotation boxes for both Azure and AWS diagrams (network isolation explanation, zone separation) and updated the professional topology checklists to match the new conventions. [1] [2]

Icon Lookup and Style Guidance

  • Simplified icon catalog lookup instructions, clarified the correct usage of icon paths and style strings for Azure and AWS, and consolidated troubleshooting advice. [1] [2]

Export and Definition of Done

  • Added a new section on exporting diagrams, including format-specific notes about animation support, and reworked the Definition of Done to cover both topology and sequence/flow diagrams, checklist compliance, and animation preference confirmation. [1] [2]
