Motivation

  • Provide a concrete roadmap to evolve Architect from a spec-generation tool into a Plan → Execute → Review product that helps teams ship work, borrowing high-impact execution patterns from get-shit-done-style systems.
  • Include a best-effort adaptation because direct access to the referenced GitHub repo was blocked in this environment, so the plan is grounded in the current Architect codebase and common execution practices.

Description

  • Add IMPROVEMENT_PLAN.md which outlines prioritized feature proposals (actionable task engine, Today/Execution/Insights views, AI execution coach, lightweight collaboration) and their rationale.
  • Include proposed data model and API changes (new project_tasks, task_dependencies, task_activity, execution_snapshots tables and endpoints such as POST /api/projects/[id]/tasks/import-from-spec), a 6-week phased rollout, UX notes, measurable success metrics, risks/mitigations, and nine immediate tickets.
  • Commit the new plan to the repository to serve as a blueprint for follow-up implementation work that reuses existing React Query + Supabase patterns.

Testing

  • No automated tests were added or executed for this documentation-only change.
  • Attempts to fetch the external inspiration repo via curl and git ls-remote failed due to a network/proxy 403, and repository operations such as git commit succeeded locally.
