This is something I use extensively, I find hydras very useful.
This one suggests to:

run a manage.py command (with ido-completion)
run a make target (if previous PR merged)
switch to an elpy hydra to run tests (awaiting upstream)
change the current virtualenv (the hydra shows what venv we're currently into)

all with one keystroke.
So this is more for discussion and reference, until we can merge.
