This repository hosts demonstrations of some astronomical X-ray data analysis techniques. The following examples are included in the current version:
Analysis of Crab pulsar data obtained with AstroSat CZT-Imager (CZTI) instrument to obtain the pulse period and get the pulse profile. Demonstration of this analysis using the Stingray spectral timing package is included as a Jupyter notebook.
Analysis of solar flare X-ray spectral data obtained with the Chandrayaan-2 Solar X-ray Monitor (XSM) instrument to obtain the flare plasma parameters. Demonstration of this analysis using PyXSPEC spectral fitting package is included as a Jupyter notebook.
