A concise, helpful change that does indeed correct an inconsistency in the function default kwargs and the docstring. Seems great to me, thank you for the contribution @GavinAnderberg !
I'm new to the xgi maintainer team so I am not going to merge this yet without checking with the more senior members, but I've marked it approved.

Try running the function on your own. It seems like the example def. is more accurate to the behavior than the rest of the docstring.
