What changed
Root cause
Desktop child agents cannot observe their own model or reasoning effort. v0.4.0 incorrectly required a child self-report, so a correct child returned unproven and the workflow failed closed. The fixed protocol uses the authoritative Host/tool role mapping plus the parent launch record for identity, while the child proves permissions and zero side effects.
