Would it be possible to associate the releases or tags with the dates?

Should be possible. Could we catch up sometime to switch the release tags & versioning to how *nix platforms do them.
I think there might be some overlap with zopencommunity/meta#628.
Not sure how much gap in understanding I have w.r.t CI's role in this...
