The basics
- We should meet each week
- I will develop each week's agenda. In general I expect that each meeting will include a targeted update from an on ongoing research project (e.g. requests for help, presentation of preliminary results, etc), discussion of new research project or paper idea, or general discussion about a topic that has collective interest. Some weeks we might use this time to walk through a presentation that someone is giving, or review a paper that someone is writing.
- In advance of the meeting, update our Project Board so that we know what issues we should talk about and who will talk about them
- Each meeting should be led by just one person (see the schedule for rotating lead below). That person is in charge of either presenting, or helping me create the agenda (see schedule below)
- If you have an idea that you want to discuss, add an issue to the
Ideasrepository in advance. Try to document what the idea is about, who might be interested, and what are first / initial steps. This is the best way to engage with our lab, and help develop an agenda. Don't be afraid to put even general ideas or half-baked thoughts there.
Rotation for meeting lead Spring 2022
- Nic: April 1
- Lindsey: April 8
- Jackson: April 15 (note we should use this meeting to review ASIST submissions)
- Richard: April 22
We will repeat that cycle until end of quarter.
