Summary

  • Verified end to end on a real offer that the cv review → apply fixes → re-review loop actually works: a deliberately weak draft scored 56/100 (NEEDS MAJOR REVISION), applying the fixes the review named and re-running the command scored 84/100 (READY TO SEND), agreeing independently with ats-check/keywords
  • Documents the one real failure mode: applyr cv review only generates the prompt, it never edits the file — the loop silently doesn't close if the agent reads the verdict without acting on it

Changes

File / Area What Changed
applyr/templates/AGENT_INSTRUCTIONS.md Added audit note after the Step 6 verdict table

Test Plan

  • No code changes — docs only
  • Budget: 9 lines (under 500)

Checklist

  • Branch follows naming convention
  • No secrets or .env committed
  • Docs updated if needed

Verified end to end on a real offer: a deliberately weak draft scored
56/100 (NEEDS MAJOR REVISION), applying the fixes the review named and
re-running the command scored 84/100 (READY TO SEND), agreeing with
ats-check/keywords run independently. Documents the one real failure
mode: applyr cv review only generates the prompt, it never edits the
file, so the loop silently doesn't close if the agent reads the
verdict without acting on it.
