auth's rng - other features

miscellaneous features: achievements, daily/weekly rewards, run cards, the nightly build, and more.

rarities

rarities are the items you collect through rolling. they don't provide active gameplay benefits - they're primarily there to collect, similar to pokémon cards. the satisfaction comes from hunting for rarer ones, completing the index, and flexing your rarest finds on the leaderboard.

some rarities are exclusive to specific systems:

  • crystallized rarity - void market (starmap)
  • shattered rarity - void market (starmap)
  • a handful are excluded from mutations entirely (summer, finished., pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism, ..., the world, antimatter)

achievements

achievements give a sense of progression, especially early in a run. they do not provide any gameplay benefit - no stat bonuses, no point rewards, nothing mechanical. they're milestones to mark your journey.

daily & weekly rewards

you can claim a daily reward once per day and a weekly reward once per week. each claim builds a streak.

  • missing a day resets your daily streak to 1
  • missing a week resets your weekly streak to 1
  • streaks don't currently do anything special - they're there as a habit-building mechanic to encourage you to come back

run cards

run cards are shareable summaries of your current stats. generate one via the button under "reset data..." on the last page.

a run card includes:

  • total rolls
  • playtime
  • run id
  • your collected rarities

note: the run card logic is described as a bit janky - numbers may not always be perfectly accurate.

the nightly build

the nightly build is available at nightly.authsrng.xyz and is an unstable preview of upcoming features.

important warnings:

  • it may have bugs, broken features, or incomplete content
  • do not trust your save data to the nightly build - it could be corrupted or wiped without warning
  • intended for testers and the developer only
  • not a reliable place to play long-term

wishing well

the wishing well lets you gamble your points:

  • throw in any amount of points you have
  • 40% chance to receive double your bet back
  • 60% chance to lose everything you threw in
  • has a cooldown between uses

quick-bet buttons are available: 10, 50, 100, 500 points. the well tracks your stats: total thrown, total received, times thrown, and success rate.

strategy note: there is no strategy - it's pure rng at 40/60 odds in the house's favor. it's a fun way to gamble excess points, not a wealth-building tool.
