Managing Students in DART
Managing students includes adding students, dropping students, transferring students, and changing student levels. To manage students, you will access the Student menu. Note that this is different from previous versions of DART, where you would manage students through the Admin Area.
- Point to Students, and under Manage, click Add Student.
You will see the Enroll New Student form.
- Fill out all of the fields on the form.
- When you are finished, review the form, and then click Send.
If you need to start over, click Reset to clear the fields of information.
- Point to Students, and under Manage, click Drop/Transfer.
You will see the Transfer/Drop Student form.
- Fill out all of the fields on the form, leave the transfer fields/lists alone. Note that you will need to select the school the student is leaving.
- You will need to explain if the student is exiting the school district or dropping all classes.
If the student is exiting: In the Exit Reason list, select the reason the student is leaving the school.
If the student is dropping all classes: in the Drop Reason list, select the reason the student is dropping.
- When you are finished, review the form, and then click Send.
If you need to start over, click Reset to clear the fields of information.
- Point to Students, and under Manage, click Drop/Transfer.
You will see the Transfer/Drop Student form.
- Fill out all of the fields on the form. Note that you will need to select the school the student is leaving.
- You will need to explain if the student is transferring to another school in the district, or if the student is transferring to another Alaskan district.

In the Exit Reason list, select the appropriate option for transferring (to another BSSD school, to another Alaskan school, etc.)

In the Drop Reason list, select Not a Drop.

When you are finished, review the form, and then click Send.
If you need to start over, click Reset to clear the fields of information.
- Point to Students, and under Manage, click Level Change.
