Practical: I resized and exported a LinkedIn banner-sized plus instagram post size image.
- I learned histogram = brightness map. Left = blacks, Middle = skin tones, Right = whites.
- I learned to judge professionally: My photo has spikes on both edges (dramatic) + smooth middle (skin) = professional exposure. No crushed blacks, no blown highlights = good.
- I learned professionals measure first, manipulate second. - I can't Dodge/Burn if I don't know what "good" looks like.
- I learned to avoid flat histograms (everything bunched in middle) = amateur, dull.
- My photo = Already professional. Day 3 is enhancement, not fixing.
- I learnt a new tool called dodge and its opposite called burn . You have to implement a dodge on cheeks edges and inside on center of forehead and the editing should be subtle like it should look as editing but shouldnt be overdone .
- U have to dodge on down to eyes
- U have to burn on jawline the line separating the neck from face
- U have to burn on eye sockets keeping shadows changed or selected
- Day 3 Complete
- I learnt two curves as red , and blue how to adjust curves of them.
- I learnt at left highlights right shadows and mid are midtones.
