The trailing period immediately following the slash (/.) can be parsed as part of the URL by some Markdown renderers, leading to broken links or incorrect resolution. Wrapping the URL in angle brackets <...> ensures that the parser correctly identifies the end of the URL and keeps the period as plain text punctuation.
