Site Phone Call

This screen allows the operator (driver) to start a phone call between the device and the Site (warehouse). This screen can be opened from any of the other screens on the mobile app using the phone call button at the top of the screen. However in order for this button to be visible and therefore this screen to accessible:

  • The operator must be logged in.
  • The operator must be linked to a site.
  • The site must have a phone number set on the server.
  • The device (based on the serial number) must have a phone number set on the server.

This screen display all the relevant information about the phone call that is about to be started i.e. current device, operator and site that is being used.

  • Device Phone Number: this is the phone number that has been assigned to the device on the server based on the serial number. If this number is not correct, it needs to be escalated to site personnel to set the correct phone number for the current device being used.
  • Site Phone Number: this is the phone number that has been assigned to the site that the currently logged in operator is linked to. If this number is not correct, it needs to be escalated to site personnel to either set the correct phone number or ensure that the operator is linked to the correct site.

N.B. any changes on the server to the device, operator, or site will be updated on this mobile screen after logging off and logging back in on the mobile app.

  • Start Phone Call button: upon clicking the Start Phone Call button at the bottom of the screen, the server will start a call between the driver on the assigned Device Phone Number and the Site Phone Number. The driver will thereafter need Wait for the phone to ring, answer the call and wait for the site personnel to answer on the other end.
